TEHRAN (P.I.N.) -– The short-, medium- and long-term liabilities of Iran stood at 9.158 billion dollars by the end of the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2003), 2.861 billion dollars of which would be due this year.

A report issued by the Public Relations Department of the Central Bank of Iran announced that over $2 billion of the country's liabilities would be due next year.

Based on the report, Iran's liabilities to become due in 2005, 2006 and 2007 stood at $970 million, $522 million and $2.715 billion, respectively.

Iran's final liabilities by the end of the Iranian calendar year 1381 (2002-03) stood at $9.25 billion, down by about $100 million compared to the final liabilities of the current year.

Iran's short-term liabilities stood at $2.07 billion by the end of 1381 (March 2003). Therefore, short-term liabilities had decreased by $308 million by the end of the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year.
